Halekulani Honolulu Hawaii

This season makes me want to travel all over, yet I mostly desire staying close to the coastlines in these warm temperatures. There is something about the coastal breeze, the sunset along the ocean as well as the sound of the water while you relax with a yummy cocktail. Having the option to dip your toes and go for a swim on a moments notice is also divine :)

When staying in a hotel on a vacation I have to stay at a beautifully designed space. Your surroundings have a big impact on the way you feel and because of that I make that a priority. One of my favorite tropical spots is Hawaii. A while back we went to Honolulu and stayed at the beautiful Halekulani Hotel the name meaning-House Befitting Heaven, located on Waikiki beach. The hotel  has been there for many years and originally started as few beachfront bungalows. In 1981 the hotel was purchased by a development company that rebuild it into a modern and world class hotel while still keeping it's rich traditions and charm.
It has since been beautifully renovated and with it's years it brings lots of integrity and character. The interior is timeless, very classy and charming. It is located on the oceanfront  along with it's swimming pool featuring it's signature Halekulani Orchid. The orchid in the pool is comprised from over a million glass tiles.
The hotel has couple fantastic courtyards (where I watched multiple exquisite weddings take place) and many other great amenities. The restaurant, the spa and the hotel service is superb. The lobby and other areas are filled with impeccable orchids that add so much softness and purity to the already beautiful architecture and grounds.
The hotel is located in the heart of the city in a historic, secluded and exclusive setting.  It is a walking distance from great shopping, many world class restaurants, nightlife the Honolulu zoo as well as the diamond head.

If you are planning a trip to Honolulu consider this beautiful hotel, you won't be disappointed. I will go back there once again :)

Me at Halekulani few years ago before going to the SpaHalekulani :), aren't the orchids beautiful!
