Mojito Recipe

To go along with the mojito glasses in the previous post, I wanted to share with you the recipe of the delicious mojito. It is one of my favorite drinks because of it's freshness and and the perfect balance between mint, lime with a hint of sweetness. I don't like drinks that are too sweet, especially on a hot day when you need something cooling and refreshing. In that case on a sunny day- Mojito is my preferred cocktail of choice.
I happen to grow my own mint in my garden and also enjoy it in other recipes. Mint has many great health benefits besides it's yummy taste.
Here goes the recipe:

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

1 tbsp fresh lime juice

2 tsp sugar

6-7 large mint leaves

1-1/2 oz. white rum

Crushed ice

Soda water

Memorial day Weekend checklist

Memorial Day weekend calls for some reflexion, relaxation, great food and outdoor leisure. I haven't planned anything specific, but I am sure I will get to enjoy every bit of it.

If you haven't planned anything yourself, you can always kick back make a great cocktail and catch up on your favorite magazines.

Katherine Rally Textiles

I recently received an email from the Katherine Rally Textile company, introducing me to their product.

 I have never heard of them before, but I must say I am loving their batik inspired fabrics, pillows and accessories.

What really appeals to me is- that it's handmade and the bold prints and colors.

Bright luxe interiors with big punches of color

I fell in love with the energy and brightness of this W Dallas adobe that two siblings share. 

In essence the space is large enough to house a couple families and the design of the space is modern, bright bold and comfortable. The 12,200 penthouse that was later separated into two separate apartments has many amazing features beautiful luxurious finishes with amazing views. Kirby's (the brother) apartment is muted and masculine with great style and Kari's (the sister) apartment has many vibrant color punches that will bring a smile to anyone's face and kick start your day.
